The exhibition brings together the graduation works of the temporary Master of Fine Arts and Design Programme Radical Cut-Up at Sandberg Instituut, Amsterdam directed by Lukas Feireiss. The exhibited works range from sculp- ture to installation, painting and illustration, photography and film as well as digital media. Coming from very different professional, personal and cultural backgrounds and work- ing with a great diversity of media, the participating artists in the exhi- bition challenge deeply entrenched, classical notions of aesthetic purity, originality and autonomy. What unites all of the works featured in the exhibition is the urgency of uphold- ing a healthy distrust towards single narratives, in favor of the realization that any pursuit of truth necessitates a multiplicity of perspectives and contradictions.
